USB THAT CHARGES PHONE FASTER USB-TYPE C

For some time now recent smart phones have been coming with the USB Type-C. However, most smart phone users haven't explored the use of the USB Type-C yet. When two of the world’s biggest tech companies throw a new connection port onto their latest and greatest laptops you know it has to be good. But just what exactly is USB Type-C and, more importantly, what does it mean for you? We take a look at the latest connection technology to find out.

Performance :

The USB Type-C has got a faster data, throughput. USB 1.0 had a theoretical data speed of 12 Mbits per second. USB 2.0 notched that up to 480 Mbits per second. USB 3.0 jacked that up to 640 Mbits per second. USB Type-C, which is also officially known as USB 3.1 has a data rate of up to 7.2 Gbits per second. Yeah, that makes it almost as fast as the first Thunderbolt port.


Also With the USB Type-C you can plug either end of the cable into a device and plug it in right side up or upside down. It doesn’t matter because USB Type-C is orientation agnostic. This means there’s no chance of damaging the cable–or the ports on your computer–by plugging it in the “wrong” way.

The USB Type-C can also power devices–so that external hard drive you use can draw power via the USB Type-C cable from your PC or Mac. But not only can it power accessories, USB Type-C can actually power an entire laptop. The new MacBook comes with a 29 Watt power supply that does away with its MagSafe connector and uses a USB Type-C cable instead. Likewise, the Chromebook Pixel draws it's power over USB Type - C port.
